First, this weekend is the Lake County Wine Adventure. 25 wineries, $35 (in advance) for the whole weekend of tasting. Ridiculous.
Second, our Friday Flight Nights have been selling out - four small plates paired with four or five wines, generally $20. I make the food.
Third, new releases. The Wine Adventure will debut the 2010 Aglianico - a mere baby but this bad boy is meant for some serious cellar time.
Fourth - so many things. I will have to tell you about the Sagrantino road trip that took us to Horse Heaven Hills in Washington and also netted some Biondi Santi clone Sangiovese. All the planting, thinning and positioning, our first estate Refosco harvest coming up, how the Nebbiolo meeting and Friuli Fest went. The list of new accounts will be updated soon, the 2011 wines are coming around steadily and Corti Brothers has cornered the market on the Sangiovese, Sagrantino, and Montepulciano...
