About Rosa d'Oro

Our family has been growing premium wine grapes in California since 1953 and in 2001 we founded Rosa d’Oro Vineyards as an exclusively Italian varietal focused vineyard and winery. We are located in the Kelsey Bench AVA of Lake County, an area noted for its volcanic and mountainous high elevation vineyards and sustainable practices as well as having the cleanest air in California. Cold winters at 1400 feet allow low input farming, reliable ripening during the long summer and we are fortunate to have our winery located next to our vineyard, allowing total control over the entire process.

Rosa d’Oro is proudly family owned and operated, combining decades of farming experience with passionate winemaking. We focus on conscientiously interpreting historical Italian cultivars and traditional food-friendly winemaking with the uniqueness of Lake County fruit. We keep our packaging clean and emphasize value in the $20 and below retail range, and all lots are below 300 cases, often only four to six barrels in size, and we hand bottle our yearly 2,000 case production. We also produce estate grown olive oil.
